Proverbs 29:10-12

¹⁰ Bloodthirsty men hate an honest person,^(A)
but the upright care about him.^[a]

¹¹ A fool gives full vent to his anger,^[b](B)
but a wise man holds it in check.^(C)

¹² If a ruler listens to lies,^(D)
all his officials will be wicked.
